We need to see increased research funds for rural. The effects of drought and climate change on rural population health, is data that will inform planning, for adaptation, including provision of most appropriate infrastructure, staffing in heat waves, water quality and quantity, disaster relief etc. It may need to be cross sectoral with schools, EPA, agriculture etc as partners.
