In conjunction with each National Rural Health Conference, Friends of the Alliance hosts an amateur Photographic and Poetry Competition to celebrate life in rural and remote Australia. The theme for the 13th Conference is People Places Possibilities. Through photos and poems we want to capture the magic of life in the Bush. Your photos and poems will illustrate some of the creativity, resilience and common sense of the People of rural and remote areas. When submitting your pictures and poems, ponder the beautiful, disparate and widespread Places which are home to more than 6.7 million people who contribute so much to Australia's cultural heritage and economy.
Both competitions are open to all members of the rural and remote community (except professional photographers and poets). You do not have to be a Friend to enter! So make sure to tell YOUR FRIENDS to put in an entry.
Finalists from each category will be exhibited at the 13th National Conference in Darwin and judged by the delegates attending the event. The winners will be announced at the Conference. 1st prize = $500 / 2nd prize = $250 in each category. All entries will remain the property of the National Rural Health Alliance and may be used in future Alliance publications, including the website, Partyline and the annual calendar.
There is a limit of two entries per participant in each category.
Download your entry form and remember that the rural Possibilities for your photos and poems are endless!
