Entries close soon for the ABC's Heywire Competition

Wednesday, 22 July 2015

The ABC's Heywrire Competition is calling on people aged 16 to 22 years who are living in rural and regional areas to submit stores about life in their communities. Over 30 winners will be chosen to have their story featured on ABC radio and online, and will score an all-expenses-paid trip to the Heywire Regional Youth Summit in Canberra in February 2016, where they will work on ideas to make regional Australia a better place for young people. These ideas could become a reality through the ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grants program, which supports regional communities to put them into action.

The Alliance has been a long-time supporter of Heywire and if you are a young person in rural, regional or remote Australia, or know a young person who would be interested, please go to the Heywire website for more details. Entries close Tuesday 16 September 2015.

Help foster the next generation of rural and regional leaders.
