The first articles in the series are:

The series will focus on the five areas which the Alliance's Council identified as being of critical importance in the year ahead.

These included: ensuring that the new Primary Health Networks work well in rural and remote areas; improving connectivity, particularly access to the Internet, in rural and remote areas; ensuring that the proposed changes to higher education funding and fees do not exacerbate the disadvantages already faced by people from rural and remote areas in terms of access to tertiary education; supporting the operationalisation of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Plan, and securing the ongoing commitment of Commonwealth investment in State and Territory dental services.

The remaining articles will be published on Croakey in the coming weeks.
